This phone is $300 before rebates, and has $300 in rebates. I haven't seen any other provider offer $300 in rebates, and T-Mobiles GSM service is way better than AT&T.

Also, this would go good with an Amazon Platinum Visa card, which gives you 3 points for every dollar you spend in Amazon.com. This would give you 900 points. After 2500 Points, you get a $25 gift certificate.

Funny thing is that, where I live, the AT&T and T-Mobile run off the same towers, but T-Mobile gets much better service.

Good deal as well!

Is this only for new service? I have T-Mobile right now, but I will canncel and resign if I can get this. My contract has already expired so that should not be a problem.

You should have no problem. As long as you sign up for a year, you might have to call up T-Mobile. and tell them to switch this to your old account, so that you can keep your old #.

BTW, TMO make you pay extra $2.99 on top of your service plan, so that you can use MMS through T-Zone.
Or you will be stock w/ SMS only!!!!!!! In other word, your pic can only view on your handset w/out extra $3
(not like it is a big deal, but just felt cheated when I thought I could just sent pics around and pay for the Data upload/ download charge)

Call up T-Mobile and tell them:

There is a Nokia 3650 phone from amazon.com which is free after the rebates from amazon.com and after signing up for a year with T-Mobile. Since you wish to get this phone , you will sign up for a year at amazon.com so you can get the phone for free (unless T-Mobile themselves wish to give it to you for free), and then have T-Mobile just add a year to your existing contract, NOT start a new 2nd one.

Irrelevent to me, a big reason I want get this phone is for it's internet capabilities and the big screen for the net. However, it's good to know, thanks.

Try it d00d. Kick, scream, and if you have to, go for the hail mary, what you got to lose (besides some phone dignity lol, but who cares).

{EDIT}
Of course, you want to start off very nice ot see if you can seduce them over to your kindness.

You can still cancel your contract withen a month most likely.

Are you sure?

Sorry only 14 days. NOT entire month

I think I am screwed, renewed my contract on 5/29 I believe :(

It really depends on the situation, you don't have as much leverage as other people, but you can still try.

I'm with Cingular, back in November, my contract expired and I was going to be put on month to month, but I called up and told them that I wanted to cancel (after 5years with them), they asked why and see if they can help me with anything, i told them i wanted a new phone other competitors were having for free with service and stuff, they put me on hold for 5 mins and came back to ask which phone i wanted. I told them the Sony T68i (was at $250). So they gave me $175 credit to my account if i bought the phone at retail $250, with 1 year contract, free internet, free camera accessory ($50-100).

You might be able to work something if you "upgrade" your plan slightly or see what can be worked... it's a sale, so there is always room for negotiations...

Hey guys, I put in my zipcode and they said that they have coverage for Blacksburg, VA (virginia tech), but it's not on the digital network? Does that mean I would be paying roaming charges, or I just wouldn't have the T-Mobile digital features or whatever?

Here are some more details directly from T-Mobile:

I currently have two phones on my plan that are both already out of their contract. I cannot extend the contract on one of these phones as the rebates require NEW service. To successfully do this I will have to buy the phone on Amazon and add it to my account as a third phone. When I get it in the mail I must call T-Mobile and cancel one of the other phones on my plan. I CANNOT keep the same phone number.

Hope this helps, I am going to do this in a few minutes.

I got that phone with AT&T, i am surprised to see that some thinks T-mobile works better, a friend of mine can't log on GPRS in so mant places with his T-mobile subscription while i can... Check your area ask to some friends.

AT&T give you good price if you work for governement and you get a 7% discount.

Before that i tried to order the 3650 on Amazon (last month) with T-mobile (before i knew they suck) after 2 weeks i got nothing, always postponed...

Now i am happy with AT&T and my Nokia 3650 (well sometimes you need to reboot it as it get stuck and you can't get any call... I think Opera is my problem but it shouldn't crash the complete OS)

You definitely need any Internet option or don't choose that phone (would be useless to have such a big phone). 1MB is nothing, i took 4MB and seems ok for my usage so far.

Tom.

was playing w/ it @ a tmobile store yesterday. it was ugly and big. probably only pretty because of the lcd screen. i currently have a sony eriksson t300. not that pretty, but i like it cause it's small.

i usually dont sign up for contracts for over a yr. it's just that in 1 yr, new better fones will be out w/ much better plans. 2yrs is strapping yourself to old techonlogy.

I did the Amazon/T-Mobile thing last year and got a phone (Samsung R225M) for free plus $150 back AR. I wanted to do it again but it looks like they raised the minimum plan to $39.99/month :(
