Just browsing and saw these:
http://www.cyberrebate.com/catalog/...&mscssid=RC3NCJAFD6S92PDL00JP4RUP2JEME5UC $70-$70 rebate.
http://www.cyberrebate.com/catalog/...&mscssid=RC3NCJAFD6S92PDL00JP4RUP2JEME5UC $60-60 rebate.
I've never heard of Phoebe Micro, but if you're not too worried about something cheazy, maybe check these out. I don't know about tax or shipping.

I made your title more descriptive, and less misleading.

There is free, there is free after rebate (which you should always mention in your title so as to differentiate it from instantly "Free") . . . and then there is free after cyberrebate, which is Latin for "will come eventually, but only after many, many, many months".

Cyberrebates are well known to many here, their mention in the title is extremely informative to prospective buyers.

edit:
Got it Mod. I did a search for Cyberrebate and didn't feel that I had to mention in the title. I'll remember it for future posts.

Cyber Rebate does come through on rebates, but slow, as other anandtechers have said.

I'm using a free phoebe winmodem from cyberrebate now (listed as 56K PCI Modem with Speakerphone). It can always achieve 49K+ connection, while my old Creative Modem Blaster could achieve only around 44-48K. My cyberrebate rebate check came after about 14 weeks.

All my Cyberrebate rebates have come through, so far. They are slow, but IMHO not much slower than most other rebates. One good thing about them is that you can track the progress of your rebates online and if you have a problem, you can email them and have the problem resolved fairly quickly. Their price, however, is oftentimes much higher than otherwise. What I usually do is go through ebates.com to get 7% reimbursement back to alleviate the pain of upfront expenses.

I've placed 8 orders with Cyberrebate. I've received 6 rebates for over $1,000 each, all within time frame specified. Actually, my last batch of checks, for $1,300 was received EARLY. According to Cyberrebates site I would receive these checks on 9/13 and they were received today!

Cyberrebates lets you track your rebate status, a big plus compared to other rebates. I don't know why some people are having problems, I can only guess they aren't following the procedures correctly. I take care to ensure that I follow their procedures to a "T" and never have a problem with any rebates.

Based on my experiences with other rebates, 14 weeks is about average and I can clearly see my rebate status on their website. I don't know why people balk about waiting 14 weeks for something that is esentially free. I've seen people make a big deal out of "lost interest", but come on, how much interest is really being lost? Even my $1,300 for 14 weeks @ 7% is only $24.50 -- the products were definately worth more than that (I donate my items to various local organizations for raffles and such to help them raise funds for their treasury).

Good deal in my books -- now PointClick, I've waited over 8 weeks for their check and still nothing received or any communication from them!
