Free news server?

What can Roadrunner users use for news?
RR has news servers to use. Go to help.rr.com, put in your location, and click the "Server Addresses" along the bar toward the top. The addresses vary based on location.

With Comcast you can either live with 1GB or sign up for an additional service. My friends with Verizon DSL have unlimited newsgroups but they probably hardly use it. The crazy thing about comcast is that most users don't even know about the usenet. I would guess 80% of subscribers don't even know they get 1GB per month.

There's no free lunch. Well, not much of it usually. Knology is wiring my neighborhood right now. In a month or two, I'll have unlimited access to Supernews from them.

Free and decent, not really... of course that's if you're looking for binary retention. $10 a month gets you 30-day bin retention at easynews.
