Well.............Although my new laptop uses a networked RR cable modem service with no probs, the laptop came with 1 yr free MSN dial-up modem service too and although I surely don't need it, I thought the two would co-exist on the same machine (NOT!)
So.....after I installed the MSN program, it's now taken over and thus doesn't allow for my RR service to work with its present settings.
I also can't seem to un-install MSN (not shown in control panel, add/remove programs).
It now defaults to trying to dial up the modem vs using the ethernet/cable modem as it did before by default.
Is it possible to either add, change settings so that I can still use my cable (though ethernet card) with MSN still installed or does anyone know how to un-install MSN otherwise?
Sure, I can call their tech support # but I thought I'd ask here first.
