go to emusic and get a free mp3 album. there is a limit of 15 tracks but you can download all 15 from separate albums to create your own comps. it expires the 18th and you have 7 days after you register for it to download your music. it is good for both new and current users.

From a quick look of the site it looks like this is kinda like what Napster wanted to be, right? Where you can download MP3s for a monthly fee... Am I right?

Got the latest John Hiatt CD, great!
And... its valid once per email account.

Another time when owning a few domains comes in handy! 😉

its like what napster wanted to be after the RIAA started being annoying. one thing i would like to see is thier stuff encoded at 160 or 192 at least instead of 128 but still the stuff isnt too bad. they have a nice selection of stuff. Since i listen to lots of punk/emo/indie stuff they have plenty to interest me.

emusic does not have any songs that i like, imo, THEY SUCK, unless they can get famous artists on their site, they will die like all others

If you like ambient electronic music with a techno edge to it emusic has most of the Fax label CD's and CD's on the Recycle or Die ambient label. Some of these original Fax CD's are collectable and sell for $50 - $100 each...No kidding! The Recycle Or Die CD's are out of print too and they are great as well. Highly recommended stuff. I already own all the CD's myself or I'd be downloading. 🙂

well kaiotes its nice to know you are an Nsync and spears kinda person. The record companies love uninformed people like that. A lot of indie stuff is far far superior to ANYTHING you will ever hear on the radio.

What pyr said. The so called "famous artists" are famous because the RIAA has crammed them down Joe Q. Public's throat and deemed them talented. I for one don't care for homegenized music.
btw....they have quite a few good Loop Guru albums at emusic.

i love electronica so did this and downloaded. does anyone know how we can redo the 15 free download. i tried it again with a different email address and it only acknowledges my recent trial. i guess it has something to do with cookies, which i don't know how to delete. can someone help?...vroom

Hmm is there something wrong with the site? I keep getting certificate errors and there are no download links. Anyone else?

bump
But also, for taserT, all you have to do to clear the emusic coockie is hit "LOGOUT". it's up near the top of the page. If you do that then it ought to say something like "All your cookies are belong to . . . I mean . . . are cleared." Wash, rinse, repeat. You should have no problem. And I'm a fan of both Sasha AND Digweed, check out their Northern exposure series - quality. Good Luck.

You guys have convinced me to try Emusic out.

I got a coupon with my ($25 after PM, coupon and MIR) HP9350i CDRW for unlimited access to EMusic for two months, free. It's turned out to be a hotter deal than I thought.

cool...i finally figured out how to delet the cookie thing...dumb me...anyway, where can the coupon be found for the unlimited 2 months free usage? i like this site and plan to join. there's lots there i like. the only thing i don't like about it so far is that the mp3s are all 128 and not higher...vroom
