In all honestly, Biostar isn't nearly as bad as say... ECS & PCChips.

Never had any problems with Biostar boards. They don't have a lot of bells and whistles but they're usually cheap and reliable (i.e. stable). Wish they would run this kind of deal on a S939 CPU & board though.

I agree. I have NEVER had any problems with the Biostar mobo's that I have had in the past.

754 is getting obsolete quickly. To upgrade later, you'll need a brand new 939 mobo and processor.

Same here, I had a Biostar M7NCD nForce 2 (ran it for about a year before upgraded) and it was extremely stable and the cheapest nForce 2 board at the time.

Yup, same here. I have to make a plug for my Biostar board as well. I have a KT266A board running 24/7 as a small server for two years now, and I have never had any issues with it. Its also been Folding that whole time too! *knock on wood*

I have the same board and a 2100+ running in an HTPC machine right now. Works great for me and runs stable at stock.

Yeah, biostar isn't really bad, so long as you know what you're doing. Their manuals could use some serious work, their products don't have a whole lot of 'polish' to them and some of their layout decisions leave me baffled...but my experience is their boards are solid and cheap; which fits the bill for a lot of upgrades.

No problems with biostar... but I've never do anything fancy with them. Haven't used a Bistar motherbaord since AthlonXP 1800+ was hot though.

No Raid setups, No Overclocking, Moderate gaming.

Looks like a nice combo if someone doesn't need / want socket 939.
