Windows XP is still a beta in my book. They still haven't got it right. How many windows updates are there just in the past 2 months?

The last line on the form "....I may be contacted about future updates for Microsoft India" ???? I wonder if this was supposed to be for Indian customers?

"Windows XP is still a beta in my book. They still haven't got it right. How many windows updates are there just in the past 2 months?"

11 security updates released on Monday. But then to be fair, there are weekly security updates for Suse 10.1 (for all the prgrams and the OS itself). Hey, better to have too many than not enough.

I concur...all software releases are beta as far as I'm concerned. No such thing is perfect piece of software! Ever! No matter what it is. That being said, I will be downloading Vista and use it myself :D
Thanks OP!

Windows XP works fine. They keep adding security updates because people keep finding new ways to exploit things.

Would you rather they NOT release updates and leave you at the mercy of 16 year olds in Russia?

They had no system for giving out updates- no Internet, remember? And if it weren't for the Internet, we wouldn't need ANY security updates.

in regards to the whole microsoft india thing...thats what im wondering about too but as far as i know, they do not have a different version of vista for india so the core features will be the same if not all the features. the language might be different. it might use the UK style(cheque vs check). so it should still be english eitherway. hope this helps :)

p.s. holy crap, i take two minutes and then hit post and there are already a dozen or so posts.

Well let's just get rid of the internet then since it's so bad.

In theory I agree. Unfortunately, in today's world of software where a program comprises of millions upon millions of lines of code, it is simply impossible to write a bug free application. The best one can hope for is that there are no major bugs or glitches and that it will be bug free for 99% of the people.
