seems legit. not pirated.

i think you get free updates for 1 year. not too sure though.

if you dont like mcafee, I posted a a free legit place to download F-Secure Internet Security 2005 with what seems like lifetime updates.

Sorry if it's a repost but I searched and found nothing.

F-Secure for FREE would be most excellent. Please post it.

Are you sure you won't need a serial number in order to install this MIS?

I use AVGfree and works great for me. But I wonder if AVGfree is still free?? I went to their website which has changed since the last time I was there and couldn't find their free version. Anyways, thanks OP. Gonna give this a try.

it's a full version, the first installation screen thanks you for buying the software. i suspect this is just somebody finding the url to download the full software, and posting it elsewhere. mcafee have never been tight on the whereabouts of there software, i remember a few years ago you were able to login to their ftp site and download all their full software for free

This is indeed a one year subscription and I had no problem using an old email/password from a trial version I had used to register.

Is this still a good version for Windows XP? Is it good enough to be your sole virus protection?

This suite rocks!

It comes with one year of free updates. The 2 top antivirus suites are Norton and Mcafee. No problem running it on Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2 and all updates.

IMO the best you can buy if you had to.

Yea the privacy service and spamware apps are 30 day trial. The antivirus and firewall are 1 year though.
