MSN Messenger service now offers free long distance phone call, simlar to dialpad. I've found it to be very good quality, superior to dialpad even. There are also several other cool features, such as using your existing email address rather than a weird screen name, and sending messages to a pager or cell phone.

The service is free, and can be downloaded from http://messenger.msn.com.

Yes the MSN messenger uses he Net2Phone service. Previously you had to pay to use this service, and it always got the highest ratings for excellent sound quality and lack of delays. I hope that this service doesnt quickly get overloaded.. possibly with the backing of microsft this thing could survive. You can also call to canada for free btw.

Volume is better for me than on dialpad.

Didn't AOL just integrate net2phone into IM, but they charge?
