What exactly would the definition of "top" be? Not that I'm biased or anything, but there's a lot of top schools (including the TOP schools) that are missing....

all profs teach differently. i bet those notes are only overviews. each prof goes into things with a different twist or go into some topics deeper. i wouldn't risk my tuition by using such notes.

also a lot of the "top" schools have warned these websites via their legal affairs department that they would have them shut down in a second if they even TRIED to post items related to their schools and tarnish their prestigious reputation

I'm not sure where else this is went on, but San Francisco State University actually sued and shut down a note-taking "business" selling notes to students. They did this because by law all notes are considered "intellectual property" of the professors. These prof. can copyright their class notes and overviews. I'd watch closely to see how schools actually handle these sites selling notes.

I go to UCLA and they sell the lecture notes for most of the classes anyway. It isn't like cheating the notes are not the same as going to class.

Are you serious? Damn, what the hell for? I agree, lecture notes aren't the same as going to lecture and taking notes. I would only disagree with this statement if the professor actually read the notes to class word for word (there are some professors that fit this profile). This is lame, looks like people are going to go underground and offer lecture notes on-line.

BTW, nice contradicting title/post combo.
