Free LAN webcam software?

I want a simple LAN based webcam server program that I can use to keep an eye on my little one while hes in his room upstairs. He's 2 and tends to get into things so I thought it would be nice to be able to use my netbook and leave it in his room to keep an eye on things when hes sleeping, or playing. Any ideas?

Skype works, but I would prefer something that is LAN only
