If one is accustomed to acquiring OEM Quicken products on the cheap, such as Quicken Deluxe 2004 on CD for $13.00 shipped, then this is only a warm deal. ;-)

I purchased four OEM Quicken Deluxe 2004 CDs and the CDs were marked "25th Anniversary Edition". Woohoo! I don't know what that means, it appears no different from any other 'edition' of Quicken Deluxe 2004.

Right-O!

Quicken 2004 + latest updates + all the Readme files and Program Versioning information changed from "2004" to "2005" + different packaging = Quicken 2005.

Example:

What's new in Quicken 2005?

QuickFill items are not showing up in the Memorized Transaction List

KB ID#: 570998

Question: Why are my QuickFill items not showing up in the Memorized Transaction List?

Answer: To resolve this situation,

From the Quicken Cash Flow menu, choose Memorized Transaction List.

Click the Options drop-down list, and then click "View Locked Items Only" to clear the checkmark.
$13 + free updates = Quicken 2005.

$13 + free updates ~ Quicken 2005 != Quicken 2005 + DVD+RW
Correct.

Quicken 2005 + DVD+RW = Approx. $50.00 AMIR with tax (CA)

$13 + free updates + Superior Dual Format 8x DVD+/-RW Drive ($39.98 AMIR) = Approx. $60.00 AMIR with tax (CA)

Ergo: Its not that great of a deal unless one is accustomed to paying $50+ for Quicken Deluxe

ran one DW800A til it started erroring and coastering(even @ 2.4x) at around 1500 DVDs ..had got it for $60 after MIRs..so..ime..the DW800A is a superior DVD burner(as + only resulted in best quality/compatibility ..- results ..sucked) ..the RMA process is about done as well :)
so if this burner(the one marked 'Made in Malaysia') can be got for $40 ..ime ..it is/would qualified/y as 'superior' ..as always..ymmv :)
