Hello all,

I'm searching for a free kanban board for personal use.

I found JAMCircle which would be fine however randomly some of the tasks will be displaced after closing after a save then reopening.

Thanks in advance.

I hadn't heard of Kanban before, so thanks for provoking some learning anyway. I wasn't able to find another free implementation, and I can see from the JAMCircle website that it appears to be in an immature state of development.

I'm curious as to what personal use a Kanban system would be? I don't mean specifics, of course, but are you thinking about task tracking, or some other application?

Kanban is great for task tracking, seeing what's in progress, completed and your burndown. It has and continues to have worked great in our software dev team.

Personally, I'd like to use it at home for my day-to-day tasks (non-software). A board as simple as: http://www.infoq.com/resource/articles/agile-kanban-boards/en/resources/Fig1_task-board.jpg is all I need. I'd rather have the data stored on my computer or online without having to pay a fee.

An example of a more complex kanban board that isn't free would be: http://www.atlassian.com/software/greenhopper/tour/kanban.jsp

I knew about several free kanban tools online, but now they've all become paid. I was quite lucky to find www.kanbanize.com

They claim that they will be free forever and look quite good by the way :)

I really recommend trying Free Plan in (Link redacted) - it's a smart and intuitive, perfect for personal use. Free Plan includes all the features but is limited to: 2 users and 1 board.

Pros:
  1. easy to use and intuitive
  2. fully customizable
  3. fast customer support
  4. full of useful features - like swimlanes, WIP limits, notifications etc.
Cons:
  1. Free Plan is limited to 1 board

Please don't raise months-old threads from the dust just to paste a link to some product you're pushing. Thanks.
