I got burnt once doing that. Not w/Maximum PC, but a magazine subscription nonetheless. Kinda makes me leary now.

Excelent magazine. Only computer magazine that I read cover to cover. Skip the trial and just subscribe

I did a three year renewal through here. A few dollars more, but legit. It did however, take a long time. At the time I bought it, it was $14 for 3 years. I see it's a bit more expensive now.

I've had a few of those $1 an issue subscriptions without the disc, but I'd really like to find a subscription deal with the disc.
