Free ISP for Linux RH6.1 ?

I mean I am trying to access Internet from my Linux box. I can't find any Free Internet Access program that can run under
Linux RH6.1.

Oh.. right. You are using a modem? Go to http://www.freshmeat.net there are lots there just search ppp.
As for built in there should be kppp for KDE and some gnome applet for ppp built in. I am not sure which right now been using ADSL for too darn long.

Sorry for not clear question.
Actually what I mean that I am trying to get Free access to the internet such as alta vista Free access that would run under Red Hat Linux 6.1. I use Enlightment Desktop manager and currently using modem to access the internet.

You can probably use any of the ISPs that use windows DUN, transferring the settings over. Freewwweb is one that you can set up manually, as is Worldspy.

Thankx for the input.
I tried freeweb.com and I also found free XDSL service provided by
freeworld service

do any of you have used this service ?
I guess I still need to pay $40/month to Pacific Bell
for DSL service ?
Is there any hidden charge ?

Freewwweb is allegedly accessible using Linux. Didn't work for me, and messed up my pre-existing kppp connection to my pay ISP. Plenty of folks report success with Linux and Freewwweb, so you might give 'em a try.

I haven't set the freeweb yet since the registation failed. But the company free XDSL claims they provide free DSL service, modem and installation. And it seems from their web sites that the service using existing phone line.

I just think that this is to good to be true and wondering if someone had tried this service before. Also I think that I need to pay $40 per month to Pacific bell for DSL service but the web sites don't mention anything about that.

If any of you are courious this is the web sites
http://www.freexdsl.com/

A slight digrestion here, but worldspy offers you the ability to connect to them using a dsl modem. You'll need to supply your own modem and the wiring for you line. I just found this out recently and I'm in the works for this project.

I know of one person that is using it, dsl instead of dial up, and he says he always connects at 56k, no faster, no slower. Guess they limit you, but hey, it's free and without a time limit.

I see, so I need to pay monthly for Pac Bell DSL connection and I just save for ISP, well dual modem seems a better alternative for me since i already got two phone line

The trick to using freewwweb is 1) use a pppscript..by that I mean have
ogin: userid
assword: password
in the chat script. Another gotcha that was tripping me up for a while is the userid is <userid>@freewwweb.com. So if your userid was payispsuck, you would want it to be payispsuck@freewwweb.com in your pppscript. I for one, am using it and it is quite good. Far better then the dialup isp I was paying $20 a month for, higher speeds, less hops, less disconnects.
