I think Citi is BS me. I opened the account on Friday and faxed in my info. On Saturday, I got an Experian alert that something has happened to my credit report. When I checked, it was just a simple inquiry by Citi (which I thought was strange, why would they check my credit rating for opening a checking account w/ them). Then yesterday (Monday), I received the banking card w/ temporary code for my atm card. I called Citi to asked about my account info and account number so I can transfer money into the account. And guess what, the account person told me that my account has been CANCELED!!! She can't discuss the reason w/ me and I should receive a letter of explanation soon. So, I told her if my account was canceled, why did I receive an ATM card? She said it was an automated system, every person will receive their atm card no matter what. And the card is useless because my account has been canceled!!! So, I thought it was strange, I called my friend, who also applied the same checking account the same day as me. He said that he never received any atm card, he only received a letter from Citi that his request to open an account was declined. So, what is going on here? No, it is not my credit problem, I don't own any money and I have a very good pay job...

I hope you guys can get the deal....but I am very disappointed w/ Citi none of less...

Once I get the official letter, I will update that info to you guys. I am very pissed and am thinking of running into their local branch and argue w/ them. Still don't see any reason why a checking account require any special credit....I am putting money in their account, not like they are lending money to me like credit card.

OK, dumb questions:

1) how big is the harddrive?

2) can I feed an ipod just like a generic USB drive or am I forced to use custom software?

3) an ipod plays real mp3s without converting them on transfer or somesuch idioticity, yes?

4) is there a way to store a plylist into a file, transfer that file to the ipod and have it play that sequence? If not, any other way to specify a playlist on a PC and have the ipod execute it?

Thanks

No, I didn't sign anything for them to check my credit report. I only signed a paper that proves who opened the account and I fax it back to them (that's a requirement). So far, I still haven't receive any letter from them yet.

don't forget that banks run a Check Systems check (Credit Check) if you have a bad report...don't bother.

For how long? We're get a chunk of money in a refinance for some home improvements and found out it will be more than we need because we're getting some money from another source soon too, so the end result is a good chunk of money that needs somewhere to sit idly by and try to pull in some short term returns. :)

This looks perfect. Especially with free bill pay.

The interest rate quoted was 0.35%
They open 2 accounts, one savings and one checking. After initial deposit of $2500 a minimum balance of $1500 is required for it to be free.
