Free iPhone: Legit?

I was surfing around on the interwebs and came across one of those "free iphone" links where you sign up for a bunch of crap and you're supposed to get one. Well that sounded very shady so I did some research and I came across another that allows you do "earn" a free iphone by referrals. Basically it says after you sign up 8-10 people (depending on which you choose) and they complete an offer like you did, you will get it in the mail. Has anyone here tried the referral program? Scam? Spam? Or legit?

Btw i work at your bank, i have some issues with your account.
please pm me your personal bank account number and details asap.

Are you really this naive?

Nope. But these guys did get one.

Again, are you this naive? One guy may have but the other guy and his girl friend haven't. They say they've shipped 4,000 but that's out of probably 10,000s of thousands to 100,000s of referrals. Do you really think 8-10 referrals is going to cover the cost of an iPod? And note, your link is misleading b/c the title says iPhone but all they talk about are iPods. Shouldn't that ring a bell?

I can't remember the stat but referrals actually turning into a sale are so low that you'd need 1,000s to 10,000s of referrals to cover the cost of an iPod.

Yes I noted what you mentioned about the title and what was said in the video. I'm contemplating trying it just for curiosity sake. If it does go through then yippee! But if it does not, whats the worst that can happen? I lose time and maybe get some spam emails.

If you do this I recommend using a prepaid credit card. It's safer than using your own and there is a cap on the card.

 That's the plan 🙂

Most Pyramid schemes are legit in the sense if you meet their requirements you get the $$$ or whatever they're offering. I did one when I was fresh out of high school I found 20 people who were are greedy and lazy as me, and my $100 investment turned into $1,500. I would suspect if a person's motivated enough and a good salesmen they could make it work over and over again. I got out before level 2 started because I felt I was lucky my ass found 20 to make it the top of level 1, lol. There are millions of stupid greedy people out there so I say go for it.

Hell my GF signed up for Mypoints.com and just by clicking on a few emails a day to view a site she gets gift cards for every damn place. In the past few months we've eaten out for free 4 times at places like Olive Garden & Chili's. Seems like a scam to me, but somehow she makes money spending 20 seconds a day clicking on emails.

i know some indian kids up in sacramento who got a few.. created several shell accounts and got a lot of free siht.

if you got time.. and dont mind being sold out..i guess its worth it..

Wait, you're a moderator? Isn't there an entry level test for that position?

Derek wanted him as a P&N mod because he's a Libertarian. 100% true story.

In PC's defense, he's not usually anywhere near this naive.

It's legit. Just a pain to do.

Yup. My friend did it for a free TV. He kept track of everything on spreadsheets, made sure to do everything in the least amount of time possible, cancelled everything he signed up for after they got confirmation, etc. iirc it took him about a month. In the end he got it...they actually just gave him a $1400 gift certificate to Amazon to pick out whatever he wanted 😀 I'd rather just get a part-time job and save up lol.

I use something like that as well

The one i use is called Snap Dollars
They pay a flat rate per e-mail, like 2-3 cents usually. I had one as high as 10 once
For a click, click, delete I get a couple cents. I think I've got about $10 now

Gonna have to try MyPoints though...

If you wanna try it, PM me and I'll send you a referral so I can get extra too

You obviously don't read his posts in P&N.
