hi namlook,

Honestly, I haven't tried this out yet but I won't be surprised if there are banner ads.

It would be nice if you would try things out BEFORE you post them as a "Hot Deal."

What's so "Hot" about Yahoo? Everything but the free internet service is standard, nothing new, from Yahoo.

Oh, so you can hide the ads behind internet explorer when browsing? So the ads don't take up any screen real estate? That makes it different from most free providers. That's a good thing.

This is "Spinway" service, just like the K-Mart Blue Light free service. There is an ad banner that is only hidden when you are on their home page. The banner is even there on your desktop if you are connected. You have to use their Yahoo email address to get your email. The good thing is that it can be set up for POP3 mail gathering.

The other bad part is that you have to use their third party dialer and cannot automatically dial using a dial-up connection.

If you have a slow computer, Spinway's free internet (bluelight, costco and others) is better than Netzero or FreeInternet. The loading time is a lot faster and less cpu demanding afterward. For Netzero in my slow notebook, it takes 8 minutes before I can really type something in the browser.

NetZero sucks. I use that whenever I go home and not only is it slow loading up but it disconnects me whenever it feels like it.

In my area (Covina, CA), it really sucks. The lines are always busy, backup number, even backup to the backup.
