I am posting this because I saw the free Yahoo POP3 again

IMO this is the best free e-mail, and i'll never use POP3 again

i dont know of any other e-mail service that lets you send and recieve and uses an IMAP client

I have been using it for a few months

the major difference between IMAP and POP3 is when IMAP forwards your mail to outlook it does not delete it off the server unlike yahoo

Netscape also has free IMAP service. But you have to use the Netscape mail client and also you have to install Instant Messenger.

Why not go into outlook settings and select leave copy of message on server?

IMAP rules all! It's nothing like POP3. All messages are kept online so when switching from computer to computer, you have all your messages. Each message has certain properties you can set, so you know if its been replied to already, and you can highlight stuff. Sure, you can get these features in a POP3, but you can't get the special properties you set to stick to each message if you switch computers. IMAP is the way to go. ;)
