Free Hosting & stats for an app download?

I have made a small app that reads event logs from the Event Viewer and would like to have a zip available for download. Currently I just dropped it in Google Docs, but I would like to have the possibility to see download stats.

I don't need much info, but primarily how many downloads there has been, and hopefully a timeline or timeframe. The purpose would be to see interest and know if I should be adding features etc.

A free MediaFire account will tell you how many times a file's been downloaded. Their 100 GB Pro plan, for five bucks a month, will give you detailed statistics.

If it's libre software, you can host it on SourceForge.
