Free Home Theater Kit w/$100 Purchase at Etronics.com

Hey guys, I just got this email from Mall.com and it says at Etronics.com if you spend $100 or more, you can get a free home theater kit. Granted, it can't be Dolby quality for that price, but I was going to buy a pair of Sony MDR-V700DJ headphones and Etronics.com has a pretty low price of $105 (a couple bucks cheaper in some of the Yahoo shopping stores BTW) but anyways when I search for that coupon, it returns the same code as one of their sku numbers (mc0601) which says it's the Alegra Home Theater Kit, without any picture or description of course. Anybody know about that kit?

Dont mean to crap on your thread, but I just wrote to them, and this is what I got :

Dear Customer,
The Alegra is a little package of wires to connect a home theatre system.

Thank you for choosing Etronics

What is the Alegra Home Theater Kit?

Not so hot,
Paul

Oh well, that kind of sucks... I called them, and the guy didn't know what it was at first... so after he comes back on the line, he says it's cleaning supplies for cd's, dvd's, etc... they sure hyped it up with the title though!

Here's the authentic scoop on that "home theater kit." I just received my latest order from Etronics.com on Monday: I bought a Sony subwoofer and center speaker, and took advantage of the free Allegro kit offer. Don't get your hopes up, scoreadeal. What it is, is a "home theater care kit," consisting of cleaning devices for components typical of a home theater system: a wet/dry VHS head cleaning cassette, an audio cassette head cleaning tape, a CD/DVD disk cleaning thingy, and a CD/DVD lens cleaning compact disk. It's a nice kit, but there are no speakers or wires or anything for creating a home theater system. Looks to be worth maybe $15 US.

FYI, I've made three purchases from Etronics in the last six months (a car AM/FM/cassette system, a DVD player, and these two speakers to upgrade our home theater audio). I am very pleased with these people. Web site layout, product selection and info, price, shipping, packaging, and product quality are all first rate. I live on the West Coast, they're in or near NYC, and still I'll keep going to them for electronics buys because of my good experience with them. (OK, UPS ground shipping takes about a week . . .)

BTW, I now have two of these Allegro kits--that's more cleaning stuff than even the filthiest of us can ever use up!
