I got this same deal when the minimum intial investment was only $1000. This is a good deal, but if you make stupid investment decisions, it can be a very poor deal. The good news is that you don't have to invest in any stocks. You can let the money sit in a money market account and earn better interest than almost all banks and credit unions. You will have to specifically request your money be rolled into a money market fund.

Just make sure you document everything in this deal, including either saving the original promo link and printing a hard copy. I had to make a few phone calls to CSB, formally DLJ Direct, to get the promo fulfilled. With the minimum investment of $5000, they will probably fulfill in timely fashion.

Have to agree, the 2mb unit isn't even worth this. And you can buy the new 8mb unit for between $160 and $210 shipped now.
