Free Handspring Visor for Opening Brokerage Account

DLJ is good for stocks but not options... we send them a lot of trades... but then again, you're right, for 10 grand, i go buy a one instead of spending my money there
 
i have both the palm Vx and the handspring visor deluxe. aside from the handspring being in a plastic case versus the slim metal one from the palm vx i like the handspring better.it has more options than the palm. good thing is i didn't have to add anything to my handspring because it uses the palm os so i could just hotsync everything from my palm to my handspring. either way they're both good things
 
MAN! If you are a student, they will need to review you and then get back to you whether you are approved for opening an account or not... so.. just a FYI..
 
I've been turned down by some banks (identity errors) but never a broker, and it seems that brokers aren't that particular as long as you don't apply for a margin account (who'd do that anyway?).
 
It was orginially $10,000 then they reduced it to $1000. Now it looks like it's back to $10,000.

Maybe they'll drop it again. Keep checking.
 
They never dropped in to $1000, that was a typo on Gomez's part, that Gomez honored until the end of Gomez's promo. This is according to a Gomez costomer support.
 
Go into your account @ DLJDirect and EMail them that you signed up during the $1,000 promotion period. If you did, they are honoring it. I don't know about Gomez, but the $1,000 account opening promotion on DLJ's site was NOT a typo.
 
If you get both, keep the Visor. The Palm IIIe is like their most basic model that has no expansion pack features.
 
That page did say $1000 last month, but I tried to sign up at the end of the month and they weren't being very cooperative (do this, do that endlessly) so I just dropped it. If you're persistent they might let you get it just to keep you from bothering them!

I have a screen shot showing $1000 - in 6 weeks it might come handy - if they don't honor the deal.
 
Just got my Visor for $1,000 deposit. Came with a sticker "Not for Resale" that came off with a little effort. Called Staples. Will upgrade to Deluxe for price difference - $70. Thanks all!
 
Do you remember the date you opened your account? I'm anxious to get mine. Did it come UPS, FEDEX or USPS?
