in their ad, it says "while supplies last" Question: How can a restaurant that sells chicken, including chicken sandwiches and who's open 7 days a week, run out??? Unless they mean 1/2 chicken sandwiches, at which point I'd order a whole one, then tell them to cut it in half and give me the free half....;)

So they use "half chicken" to make the sandwitch.

But what is the other half in the chicken? Duck?

They have to put that because in the event they manage to run out of supplies, and can't serve the chicken, some loser will probably throw a fit over a chicken sandwich or sue over it. Smartest move they could do becuase you know some loser would try it....

Free 1/2 sandwich? How generous. Think I'll go have Costco's free sample lunch instead.

Hmm, half chicken sandwich. That's more chicken than most fast food places put in their whole chicken sandwich isn't it ? Fast food joints are like drug dealers. You cut your product with crap if you want to make a profit.

Unlike many, I actually like Boston Market. However, will probably skip this one as the lines will be tooooo loooooong.

If it came to a choice between drug dealers, and MickyD's, I'd take the drug dealers. At least their product is likely to kill me fast, instead of slowly, like those rat burgers will.

Deal Warning: They offer the free half sandwiches but nowhere does it say "when" they made it...

My bet is that these are christmas returns.

I just re read the ad on their website and it says Receive free Half Sandwich. It says "half sandwich" not half of a sandwich. So technically it can be interpreted as half of something on a sandwich. I am reading it to be half of a chicken on a sandwich. So if you haven't anything better to do and really want to argue the point.....heheheheheh.....;)

I think BM is doing this to celebrate the dismissal of lawsuit by a boy who claimed their food made him fat (F*A*T, not PHAT)... wait hmm no, that' McDonald :)
I guess I'm just trying too hard to fit the story in the context of this thread :)

I looked at the ad again too and all it says is "half sandwich". "HALF SANDWICH"? Then what the hell is the other half? This better not be some weird frankenstein Half-man/Half-Sandwich hybrid because if it is thentheres a possibility that i wont be giving them my business again.

(Scoff if you will, but take a look at that picture. Ive seen chicken before and that aint chicken...)

It's pure marketing! This way they get good publicity, and get to move the half eaten food, too. :D

Cheap and interesting marketing, but who's going to wait an hour in line for what, like 2 or three bites? And with the long lines, how are they going to sort out the people who got in line before 7:30? Will there be an armed guard at each store to ration out the free half sandwiches? Will there be a half sandwich nazi like in Seinfeld? "No half sandwich for you!!!"

A half sandwich at BM is the equivlent of getting a 6 inch sub at subway. If you only order 6 inches, they put the other half of the foot long bread aside until the next person orders it. It's not like they take a piece of wonder bread, make a sandwich on it, then cut it in half. A boston market sandwich (unless it has changed since the one near me closed down) is on sub-like bread. Not sliced bread.

I think giving away half a sandwich is pretty cool of them. That's can add up to a lot of money.
