According to this week's CompUSA in-store sales flyer, if you purchase Microsoft Office 2003 for Students & Teachers for $150, you can pick 1 of 3 items to get for free after rebate:
[*]Initial DVD-9530 Portable DVD Player with 5" screen
[*]MD491sys Digital Cordless Telephone System
[*]internal 4x IDE DVD+RW/+R Drive
I believe that the store will ask for an ID that proves you are a student or a teacher to get Office 2003 for $150, but I am not sure if the store would actually care if you are a student/teacher or not. I did hear that the Student & Teacher version will not be upgradable to future new versions of Office, so that's something to consider when buying this version.
If you already have Office 2000, you many not find that many differences to be worth upgrading. If you use Excel and Word files that are so big that your computer hits its limits, upgrading may help fix those problems. If you are still using Office 97, you may find the enhancements well worth the price...
Either way there is a NIGHT and DAY difference between Office 2000 and Office XP AND The Office Suite.
