odd... got the "more time required" thing on my application decision. Very strange considering my score is currently above 770 and we have a decent household income. Ah well, hopefully I get approved before they run out of units.

I got the same response regarding my application. Discover approved it a few days later. I just got my Nuvi in the mail today. Charging it as I type.....

I am order 6110XXX, so when I get it and post yours will be close behind.

I called them and the issue was I asked for a second card with my Wifes name on it. I guess they need to verify that before sending as people will apparently sign up for cards in their spouses name and add themselves on as second card holders. Since their SS# was never used their spouse is reponsible for the card but they are not... sneaky.

The CSR told me I was approved and should see the card early next week. Then it will be time to buy my cheeseburger and put the card away for good.

That's weird.. have you checked the status page to see if the e-mail just hasn't been sent yet?

Just checked status page and still getting...

"Search Results
Order ID: 6112XXX
Your order has not yet shipped. When it does ship, an email containing a URL to track the status of your shipment will be sent to the email address that you specified when you created your order."

Are there any downside to this offer so far? Hidden charges or telemarketers? or?? About to sign up seeing as how so many people got their free GPSes!

Waiting on getting my actual card here, should be Monday or Tuesday. Then I'm off to Jack in the Box for a couple tacos, chicken sandwitch, and a jr bacon cheesburger for $3.24... assuming they take Discover. Then the card gets put into my safe and will never see the light of day again.

Can't wait for the Nuvi!

None that I've seen. I got card, activated (had to tell person no to the payment protection plan stuff), and used to buy a few things I was going to buy anyhow. GPS is on the way and no hidden charges/telemarketers/etc.

I'm getting the "We could not find your order based on your search parameters." when I try my order lookup. It's been over a week since I made my first purchase on the discover.

Any ideas?

FYI, I used my last name and email address as the search param.

How much was your purchase. There have been some reports of Discover just crediting your account if the charge is too small because they would lose money sending you a bill.

My first one was about $4. Made significant purchases since then.

Edit - still no order number. Who do I call?

Sweet man! Thanks for the reassurance! The card is on it's way according to the email they sent me. I might apply for the Discover card with the free canon camera too if this goes well from http://www.mydigitaloffers.com/

So after your first purchase they email you at the address you signed up for the card with? I just got my card today and activated it so I'm set to buy something small tomorrow and then put it away.
