Free forum software?

I use both and IMO Invisionboard is far superior. If you aren't sure how to install either one... you can ask Rossman and he will probably do it for you.

Go with invision, its far superior. And their Main programmer has been writing board for ages. He is the original coder for Ikon board. And stay away from CGI boards if you are gonna have heavy traffic its murder on shared servers.

so in order for me to get this all up and running...what do i need to know exactly?

so far i have apache all up and running for my website, any tutorials?

i have a 3megabit line that i use, so bandwidth is not much of an issue.

onza,

1) You will need PHP 4.0.3 or better (4.1+ highly recommended) and mySQL 3.22 or better (3.23.33+ recommended).
2) Download and unzip InvisionBoard 1.1.1
3) There is an install guide which walks you through all the steps
