As an incentive to try their online services the post office is offering the first five full color premium postcards FREE - (including postage) delivered anywhere in the US with new registrations at USPS.com.

You can even upload your own photos to be printed on the cards. Go to www.usps.com/netpost/premiumpostcard.htm to signup. Use the source code c0240 when you register to get your free postcards. Remember to sign up for a NEW ACCOUNT, doesn't work with existing accounts. In 'my account', you should find the five 4x6 cards.

Usps.com has some good deals on custom Christmas cards too. Up load your family photo, type your own greeting/message (even has a merge feature to customize the message to each person on your Christmas card list) and send. No going to the card store, photo shop or the post office.

I will be using the picture postcards for thank you cards after Christmas with pictures I took. Great way to say thanks or invite friends to the New Year party. Merry Christmas!

I signed up and they only gave me one free card. I guess it didn't take my source code.

A friend told me he uses this service when he travels internationally. Takes his laptop and digital camera. Connects to his usps.com account and sends to cards to his friends and family in the states -- faster and cheaper then sending international mail.

This is a pretty cool idea.

Got my 5 free cards.

79 cents to buy more....that's still pretty good. Even a price break at 5000 postcards! (that part's kinda ridiculous)

Update : Just heard about a guy on Saturday that uploaded front and back personal photos, uploaded his xmas card address book and sent out 30 greeting cards in less than thirty minutes! The cards were print and mail out on Monday!
