Avoid AAMCO like the plague. When my transmission failed, my warrenty provider said they would only allow aamco to service my car, so i did, not doing much reseach into aamco and boy did i regret it. they had my car for an ENTIRE month and 2 days, pretty much just sitting there. They kept telling me they knew what the problem was, "parts in order", by friday, by tuesday, "by thursday you will DRIVE your car out of here", "parts will arrive tomorrow, 1 day to rebuild and you'll be out of here".
normally i'd get my car out of there, but there was NO ONE else my warrenty let service my car..... then finally 1 month and 2 days later i call and "steve" says "come pick up your car! (suddend excitment) I give up on it! you hear that? i'll say it again, I GIVE UP on it!" i stood there in quiet fury before throwing the phone across my room.... i called my warrenty people and my dealer and bitched the hell out of them, 1 week later, i had a brand new never used tranmission from Honda installed by my dealer

the tranmission and installation was around $5,000 and i only payed the $100 deducable
