NEVER sign up for anything free from any armed services branch unless you like getting a bunch of mail and phone calls from recruiters.

repost

compliments of OutlawWolf

oh and just to let you know, i got mine last week, and the pen is okay i guess, but a rep WILL contact you and tell you how fun the marines are and what not, and they're typically really long-winded and won't let you hang up for like half an hour, so be prepared (or give a fake phone number hehe)

I ordered mine about a month ago, got it 2 weeks later. I had it mailed to "happy kitten." Funny, haven't received any recruiting phone calls yet... ;)

1. This has been floating around the net for about the last year.
2. Be prepared to be "spammed" by the US Marine Corps.

darn... someone from there called me up last night at 8.30pm.
i don't think the pen is worth being bothered by some stranger
in middle of your dinner.

and he just wouldn't hang up... geez.

Hehe. Them recruiters are ruthless man...just tell them you are in another branch and you are getting the pen for your 5 year old brother.

I remember this post about a month ago when me and this marine got into an argument about which branch is better. =P No flams this time, please!

If you listen to the recruiter, he'll tell about how to get tons more free stuff. Free medical treatment, free room and board, free clothing, free $30,000 for college. Not to mention a free trip to North Carolina or San Diego!

Dang... I gave them the wrong number, and guess who knocked on my front door today?
If you hate getting those recruit phone calls, wait until you meet them(THERE WERE 2 OF THEM) in person.
