Mixtapes are legal. I have the rights to promote this music as I get it as "promo only" assuming I play it in my mixed and at the clubs I spin at. I use the instumentals and accapellas provided on the vinyl's I ahve to create remixes which are all included. The only time they are illegal is when your selling them and they include full untouched pieces of work (aka full songs). This is all cut up and mashed and scratched over with promo's and no songs are played more that a minute or two. Check out Serato Scratch live forums there are 100's of them there they just aren't power hour mixes and they are all different styles and genre's.

Feel free to give feedback. I know there are a few rough spots in the mix but if your drinkin and enjoying it with comapny you most liekly won't notice them at all. I am just very critical of my own work

WAIT! does this mean we can drink while we listen to it at the gym?

not advised but I take no responsibilities for your actions with this mix. I am not liable for anything this mix causes you to do! 🙂

Thanks for posting. Very frustrating for me to listen to. You're creative and have lots of mixing tricks but need work on flow and momentum etc., and not letting some of your tweaks be so distracting, or letting your transitions and/or song selections from feeling like a let down.

That's the way I hear it, but take it for what it's worth - I know nothing about how to be a good dj and admittedly coudln't put something together 1/10th as good. So keep doing what you're doing, just keep improving as well.

Thanks for the response jjsole. I do agree with some of the distractions you might be talking about. Some of the scratching it's really int he way as I listen to it in my car and a few other pre-mature mixes. I think I was more under pressure in this mix as I was videotaping it as well and wanted to run through songs quickly. I do notice some serious mess-ups but I am my own worst critic so all other input is appreciated!
