Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organized by date with folder names you know. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups. Picasa makes sure your pictures are always organized.

Picasa also makes advanced editing simple by putting one-click fixes and powerful effects at your fingertips. And Picasa makes it a snap to share your pictures ? you can email, print at home, make gift CDs, instantly share via Hello?, and even put pictures on your own blog.
 
Picasa, the Google-owned photo-sharing service, has gone live with version 2.0 of its software. The service's new edition includes some basic photo-editing tools, including the ability to brighten dark images; CD burning; integration with Blogger; a collage-generating tool; and the ability to send pictures easily through Gmail.

Google bought Picasa last summer and has many rivals in the online photography market. Yahoo! and Microsoft offer rival software, while there are also many online photo services. Users of the new version will be able to export their pictures from the software to many of these online services for printing.

Picture collections can also be password-protected and easily grouped together within the software so users can keep track of their images more easily. You can also make your pictures into a movie file or a screensaver.

Thes previous version of the program seemed to really slow down my computer and made it unstable . Could it also be some sort of spyware too or is it just those ini files keeping things (too) busy ?
 
Can anyone confirm if this version can run in restricted-user mode? (besides the "install")
And how about multi-user?

Tools, Folder Manager. Select which drives or folders you want it to scan and place *.ini files.

You can tell it what folders you want scanned once, or what folders you want "watched". Scanning the whole HD sucks casue it will find game pics in the directories, temp, and a whole bunch of stuff thats you dont really want/nned in the program.
