I have been downloading my GOG game installers from my GOG account through the GOG website using a download manager called Free Download Manager. I having an issue where about 1 out of every 4 files I download results in a cancelled download with a message saying "Resource changed" I retry the download and it downloads the file over again but I still get more cancelled downloads with the same message through the download manager. One weird thing I noticed is that sometimes my download queue does not get respected by the download manager as it will download files that are less than 1MB in size immediately even if they are last in my download queue. I'm downloading the installers to a folder I created for each game through the download manager and I'm not sure if that has something to do with it like a download getting interrupted when I create a folder of a different game in my download queue. Should I be download to a single folder first and then when I'm done the downloading, create the game folders for each game and move the files I downloaded to those folders I created?

OK, I now tried downloading to a single Downloads folder through the download manager and I'm still getting the issue where a download quits on me with the "Resource changed" message. I find it more reliable just to download directly through the browser, despite the browser not having a native download queue capability, but then I have to be monitoring my download more frequently this way as I don't want to download more than 4 files at a time as then each download gets too slow in an already too slow download. Only reason why I wanted to use a download manager was because I wanted to queue what am going to download and then leave it alone until everything is done downloading, especially if I have over 500 files to download. I did try GOG Galaxy but I got failed downloads that I need to download over again when my download queue got too big.

Are you using some kind of *nix? If so, you should be able to do it with wget. It'll be one file at a time, but you should be able to start it and walk away.
