Yahoo's site says they will contribute a maximum of $5000 to the charity; as this link has been floating around lots of different message boards and email lists, I'm sure that number has been reached by now. Basically, it now serves as cheap advertising for Yahoo's health site.

hi guys,

a friend of mine just emailed me this clip:

<< The NFL has chosen October 24, 2000 as the NFL's Breast Cancer Awareness day. Every time someone logs onto www.NFL.com, the NFL will donate $5 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. This is a simple opportunity to learn about one of our fabulous National Series Sponsor of the Komen Race for the Cure(R), as well as earn up to $50,000 for the Komen Foundation. Tell all your friends and co-workers on October 24 to log on!! >>

As you see, for every time we goto www.nfl.com, we will bring in $5 for the foundation, and there doesn't seem to be a limit.

So keep logging onto the NFL webpage tomorrow, Tuesday, October 24, 2000

...for a very good cause!

yahoo hit the max they said they would donate, which is $5000. because of the overwhelming success, they decided to donate an extra $5000 as well. so, its basically over now. you can show your support by clicking on it, but it won't send any more money.

Imagine a world without breast--please donate all you can. My girlfriend is selling "pink ribbon" pins for $3 ea. All sales go to charity. I'd be willing to ship them to you for $3.32 total.

Email: changdc@uci.edu

I'm not sure if this violates any forum rules--but please--no flame. This is for a good cause.

We are proud to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation*. Your response to our pledge has been tremendous. In recognition of everyone who has helped to support the search for a cure, we have doubled our original pledge. Your efforts have now resulted in a $10,000 donation.

Woohoo! They doubled their original pledge to $10000 now.
