Free Domain Name?

Is there anyplace that offers free domain names? I can get the webspace for free from 1and1. Is there anyway i can use a free .tk domain name with 1and1 webspace, or does .tk require i already have a webaddress? I dont know much about this stuff, so any help would be appreciated!

1and1 gives you a address that is impossilble to remember (s87978979.onlinehome.us or something like that) so all you have to do is tell your .tk domain to forward to that address which they assign you.

Ok, well then whats the best place (such as brinkster, geocities..etc) to get free webspace/address? Is there any place with no ads? There would not be a lot of traffic to the site, so i dont need a huge monthy transfer limit. I would rather have no ads.

NexusWebs.net offers 35MB disk space, 750MB per month bandwidth and more for free. There is one catch it's a subdomain (so it won't be GRagland.com more like GRagland.nexuswebs.net but FREE is FREE).

The bastards @ ev1 raised the domain price from $5 to $6.49 GoDaddy is the best option but I think this guy is going to register a .tk domain for free and go with 1and1.com

Whoopsies, haven't been to their site in about a week... Godaddy is my only strong recommendation then.
 
just use .tk i use it for my clan site and ive never had any complaints, its free and it has no ads 🙂 i also use a free 1and1 account.
 
I got 1and1 and .tk domain name up and running. No ads, unlimitted transfers, short easy domain name. Why would you not go this route. Well, here it is. I just made a quick one to get something up, the site is barely functional and will be very different in the days to come. www.ragland.tk
