From Skillz on discord

This weekend stats.free-dc.org will suspend updates on the database for a few hours. The reason for this is to pull backups of all the databases.

I need these backups so I can test the new server with them. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and I can move on to the new server rather quickly. (ha. that never happens)

I suspect this will take a few hours to dump each one of the databases. The site will still appear to work, but nothing will be updated during this time.

EDIT: I understand things went well and all is done.

Has there been work on the newapps pages for WUProp hours at Free-DC? I only get a 404 error when I refreshed my tab.

I have updated the site to run on php 7.3 (previously Php 5.x) and have a test site up and running this current version. If you guys could check the site for any thing that doesn't work* please let me know.

*I am looking for problems related to what currently works on the main domain stats.free-dc.org and doesn't work on the freedc.teamanandtech.org. I'm aware some stuff (well maybe a bunch) doesn't work on the main site and that stuff most likely wont work on the test site. This is just getting the site updated to the latest version so I can move it out of my house and into a datacenter. The speed of the site also shouldn't be of concern as the test site is actually in a datacenter, but the database has not been deployed to the datacenter, nor have I upgraded the hardware on the database server, yet. This is will come later.

I am looking for problems related to what currently works on the main domain stats.free-dc.org and doesn't work on the freedc.teamanandtech.org.
FWIW, on Sunday when I prepared the weekly stats, I looked at several different kinds of pages from stats.free-dc.org and freedc.teamanandtech.org side by side (our special weekly stats pages as well as a few different pages which are part of the normal "user interface"), and did not notice any differences.

I am guessing this "down" status is just caused by the cloudflare timeouts. (Which are only happening irregularly/ intermittently for me at least.)

Edit,
correction: https://free-dc.org/ --> cloudflare says either "523: Origin is unreachable" or "526: Invalid SSL certificate".
https://stats.free-dc.org/ however basically works (for me, and for downforeveryoneorjustme it sometimes seems down, more often up).

Bad weather took out the WAN network port on my router so I had to assign a new port for WAN duties on it. This caused my ISP to assign me a new IP address in the process.

So the site was down until I got home from work to get it going.
free-dc.org is down due to some kind of SSL certificate problem likely from their being a different IP address now. Its just forums that I am shutting down anyway. Got other stuff to work on rather than track down that problem.

Like moving the site to the datacenter so I don't have these issues anymore.

Expect some extra traffic as Keith is giving out this link as a full replacement to free-dc.org

Re: SiDock

I found this interesting, @Skillz . There is a secondary crashtech, with a low total score, placed between 9th and 10th. It has been a while since I learned to count, but 8, 9, 11, 10, 11, 12 doesn't sound right. :D

That has been fixed on the other site's database. https://freedc.teamanandtech.org/team/sid/52

This database will soon be the real database that stats.free-dc.org uses once I get the domain pointing at the new web server.

Everything I fix, add, or whatever I do on the new server/setup and not the old server. Otherwise, I will have to do things twice and the old server is running such an old version of well... everything it's not always just an easy "repeat the same steps with a copy paste" to replicate it on the old server. So I just don't bother with it.

WCG has something similar (the same?), maybe from purging users or not exporting.

Will there be a stats3 style on the new site? The graph legend covers the most recent data points.

Spacious on old site?

WCG, and a couple other projects I've noticed is something different. I am not sure how the sorting on that got messed up. Haven't come up with a good way to solve this, yet. Its a work-in-progress. As the solution I come up with I want to be able to do it all at once to all the projects to fix them all instead of going in and fixing each one individually which will take.. a while.

stats3 style is planned to be moved as well, but not at first. I am not 100% sure on how he does this. He created a whole new sub domain with what appears to be just a different style, while everything else appears to be the same. My goal is to drop stats3 domain and use the stats. domain but with the ability for users to select the style(s) they wish to use. This will be part of the new login feature I am working on that will allow users to login and be redirected directly to their CPID page (among other things)

Spacious, and another new project I can't recall off hand, has not been added to the old database/site. Its on the new database though which can be accessed with the freedc.teamanandtech.org link.

USPEX is the other project I believe.

All of this will sort it out once the stats.free-dc.org site is pointed to the new database server. This probably wont happen until I get the new domain working on the new server and move the database server to the datacenter.

Sorry that I do not have an ETA on this. I work on it on my free time which comes and goes.

I believe the style of stats3 was around first then the other style came about. I've just preferred the older version over the new.

The badge banner does seem different as stats3 is missing a bunch or black blocks. My CPID page loads really wide like there should be badges but half of it is white/blank. I don't link it anywhere, it's just the most visible difference besides the style.

Oooo I didn't know prediction exported. Anyone know who is user "Karelian Regional Center for Law and Public Policy" at that project? The TAAT team owner should probably grab ownership from inactive Fardingle.

BOINC Central is another

I don't know which one came first. Doesn't matter which came first. Either way he created a new sub domain with what appears to be mostly just for changing the style/layout.

Yes, 100%. I compared the two. It looks like stats3 is missing a LOT of the badges needed to make the signature banner. Not sure why this is happening. My guess is the images for the badges aren't in the stats3 web root images directory for it to generate them.

Yeah they are exporting. Its being collected by the new database server and displaying on the development site freedc.taat.

Hey now, I am pretty sure they wasn't exporting stats when I first looked, but it appears they are now. I will get these added asap.

edit
I fixed the badges, mostly. That was an easy fix of just copying them from stats.free-dc.org to stats3.free-dc.org and changing the permissions. The black boxes are still showing though. What project is that from? I'm not familiar with it.
Also I believe the issue is actually because the signature doesn't auto resize to fit on the screen. So essentially your signature is too long for the design. Haha. I'll add that as something to fix when I get around to moving that sub domain to the new server.

edit2
Nevermind, it's the collatz 500M badge. It was the wrong image on the stats3. I moved the correct one over from stats. It works now.
