Free credit reports?

I'm looking for a free credit report, and I'm talking FREE....no trial subscriptions to anything, no 30-day memberships with the option to cancel, etc.

Looks like Equifax, TransUnion and Experian all want $30 to $40.

I'm about to sink in the $30 at Equifax, but if anyone has a coupon code or promotion code, or any other kind of discount, please let me know. Thanks.

depends on your state, my state allows everyone to get a free report every year. you will just need to find the 800 for each of the credit agents.

Federal law passed recently that allows each person to get a copy of their credit report once each year with no charge. Since the demand on credit agencies would be enormous, they are rolling it out in segments. Some states can do this now, others will get the ability later this year. I think by December all states are supposed to be eligible.

Consumerinfo is giving out free credit reports online or in print. Make sure your credit safely survived the holiday season. 30 day free credit monitoring service at no obligation. Cancel if you wish.

CO, GA (2 reports a year), MD, MA, NJ, VT residents are legally entitled to a free annual copy of your credit report from each of the big three credit bureaus. Experian 866-200-6020, Equifax 800-685-1111, TransUnion 800-916-8800. MA law only grants you 1 copy of your credit report from each credit agency, each year.

New rules will allow free access to credit reports late 2004/2005.
