Free Corrupted HDD recovery

I'm looking for software that can recover data off an unresponsive hard drive that states inaccessible and corrupted.

Everything I found costs a lot of money I'm looking for a free program.

It's great to search for "free" software options that will work magic and get your data back.

But I'd suggest thinking about how much that data is worth to you... for when you end up having to buy a program to recover it.

As the earlier posters are alluding to, there is a good reason you are finding those software programs and B&M data recovery services to cost a lot of money.

You aren't likely to find a program that is worth using which is also low-cost. In fact if you were to find a low cost or free program claiming to be capable of doing what those other higher cost guys do then you should actually be very suspicious that its not going to make your situation worse.

In the data recovery industry, you get what you pay for, if you pay nothing or next to nothing then that is about all you are going to get in return.

If you can't access the HD your our of luck, unless you want to pay big bucks, but testdisk is a very good free program for disaster recovery. http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk
