yup, I think you hit the nail on the head Zero....it looks like you can get dsl service in quite a few areas (check out the posts in hot deals forum) for $39.99/month...$20 cheaper than this deal.

So, in essence, you would be paying $20/month (for 28 months) plus $89 for shipping for the pc...$649 total. Oh well, nice try though:)

Well, this wouldn't be too bad of a deal if you do not have a computer and does not want to tie up a phone line with a modem and you want fast internet access. It's especially great for someone without the cash to pay for the computer upfront. If you take into account the interest free loan for 28 months, that's a pretty good deal.

The other problem is that in 28 months the Celeron 566 will be like a Pentium 133 is today. Nuff said.

hey, i was running me pentium 166 up until last week when i finally got my t-bird up. i liekd my pentium better than my ahtlon. it is the most stable system aside from the 486 ever made......btw.............that was a magic pc or something cuz it ran faster than most 233MHz? But yeah, so don't hate on the classics, they ar ememories of my childhood :)

You must be kidding. A P166 is more stable than an Athlon and faster than a 233? Are you running DOS on it? Or you must did something wrong on the other systems.
