Free Comic Book Day Saturday May 4th!

thanx for a hot deal. Comix have been getting so expensive that I've stopped collecting but free is always great
 
What do ya know. The bookshop about 1/2 mile down the street from me is listed as participating. Guess I'll take a stroll over there. And pick one up (that's the same day as I leave to go home for the summer 🙂).

the local stores around here are giving out a justice league comic in that new batman animated drawing style. a not so interesting spiderman book (of course, it opens friday), some lame dark house star wars anakin story printed on toilet paper (lucas never ceases to amaze me with his loyalty to the fans), and a couple of oni press titles. one of them has something to do with "punks". pretty gay. the other was well, i can't remember. don't know if stores will be having their own special comics to give away, more than likely they will be ditching all those back issues of archie or ducktales, etc.

i do like comics by the way, just not crappy ones.
