I currently have my main rig OS running on a raptor. I want to move that onto a new drive I bought. I am guessing just copying everything from that drive to the new one probablly won't work. So I was hoping I could find a free pr at least cheap way to do this. I know programs like Norton ghost will do it, and I may have an old version of that if it will work. But if not are there any alternatives?

Found this in the freeware thread, will it work?

Check the website of the drive manufacturer (either the existing or new drive)....many of them have programs that transfer the files from one drive to another.

Definetly the first step....and safer than unknown freeware.

Ah crap, I just realized I bought the wrong hard drive. The one I wanted was supposed to be SATA 2, and it was in that spot, but it turns out its a PATA drive. I will have to return it tomorrow. Thanks for the help though.
