Also, this deal is further hotified by prefered customer cupouns. Im pretty sure they work on CDs

It's always a YMMV from individual store-to-store, day-to-day. The only thing you can do is go and look. From personal experience, TY Memorex are getting harder and harder to come by.

You can say that again. Every time I'm at a store that has Memorex CD-Rs I check the spindles. I haven't seen a made in Japan for a long time. I read in a thread here maybe a month ago that CC may have some made in japan, but I never went there to check it out.

I would also like to add that OfficeMax has 100-pack of slim cases for free after MIR. 19.99-11.99IR-8MIR = 0. Of course you'll have to pay tax but it's a good deal.

Last time AT&T's were on sale (couple weeks ago), they were Taiyo Yuden. Worth grabbing, either way.

Can anyone confirm that?

I have not seen Fujis (my usual source of TYs) an a decent sale in a while now.

The compusa dvd-r is compusa branded media, the clerk claimed that it burns at 2x, but it is only 1x, there is no limit to how many you can buy, but I may be returning these, unless I can figure out how to try them at a higher speed.

From bestbuy: The at&t's I got are prodisk (pretty good media). The TDK were CMC and actually the worst qaulity CMC I've ever received - burning at 4x on several discs still gave me massive errors when re-reading them. I actually tried to return these and found out that bestbuy will not accept returns of blank cdr media :)

I'd like to see this confirmed as well. I've yet to see AT&T discs made anywhere but Taiwan.

I checked all the AT&T spindles at my BB and they were all made in Taiwan. I've never seen any AT&T made in Japan.

Ok ok, here's the data according to Nero InfoTool:

Current deal:
AT&T 1x-40x
Prodisc, CD-R, 79:59.72
Copyright Verbatim Corp.
Made in Taiwan

Previous deal:
Umm, same info. I coulda sworn the word 'Fuji' was hiding in there somewhere.

Sorry if I made you lose a whole dollar. Time to take them back, I guess.

I got my AT&T made by Prodisc Technology Inc.

Which one is better?
The one made by Ritek Co. or Prodisc Technology Inc ?
