Navid,
This phone comes with 10 minutes of airtime, you have to put new time in it every 2 months or you lose the number.
So, for $20 you get the phone plus 50 minutes of airtime. There is no additional charges on these phones.

there's also a card to get 300 minutes for $90 that covers you for a whole year. if you don't talk that much then it makes the most sense.
$20 per every 2 months is the minimum for 40 minutes each time.Originally posted by: Navid

Thanks for the reply. It sounds like it is like my phone. Do you know what is the minimum amount I have to pay every 2 months? Is it less than $30.00?

I have to pay at least $15.00 a month. Even if I still have minutes at the end of the month, I still have to buy a minimum of $15.00 every month! Otherwise, I will lose the number.
Is this plan the same?
I mean, ideally, I would like to have a phone that I would pay for only when I used it. Is there such a plan?

What kind of issues?Originally posted by: kyzen
I work in the cell phone industry, and let me say this: The Motorola 120c/e/all variations are craptacular phones. I've never seen a phone with so many issues. It was the most commonly returned phone for my company for the 2 years we offered it; the 2nd most common phone only had 58% the amount of returns as the Moto 120.
And it looks like these are reconditioned - i.e. somebody else already realized they didn't like em.
Other than that, looks like a nice deal.
Good luck![]()

just a warning, though, tracfone's website is HORRIBLE, as is the process for adding time to your phone. doing it over the phone (automated) is absolutely horrible and incredibly slow, and doing it online often times out in the middle.
also, the local area (where 1 minute = 1 unit of air time) is relatively small. also, i've seen many people get nearby area codes, and there's nothing you can do to change it.
A co-worker dumped his Verizon phone after nearly 8 years because he was only using around 50 min/month for his 35.00/month plus taxes. He went with T-Mobile pay-as-you-go. He bought 1000 minutes for 100.00 that is good for a year. That's 0.10/min and around 8.00/month average, assuming you would use around 80 minutes/month. Even if the minute aren't all used up, just buy more before the year is up and they roll over. He bought a new phone off eBay and and just ported his Verizon number to T-Mobile.Originally posted by: Navid

Not true...i had a problem with some tracfones over the summer where i ended up having to get the number changed (twice, in fact), and while their customer service leaves something to be desired, you actually can change your number if need be.
This is the best type of deal for Tracfone. You might occasionally find a code to get the 1yr for a little less ($~70) or more minutes for the full price. Either way, you get a year's worth of service and the following year, your units carry over.Originally posted by: smack Down
Not that great of a deal. I got a tracphone last year with 150 minutes and inside was a coupon to double it 300 minutes for 100 dollars and the minutes are good for a year.
