Free Carfax reports 2/22 - 2/24

Yup, wasn't sure how blatant one could be about subverting the system on the board though. Figured it was better to let folks do a little of the legwork themselves.

BTW, the direct link doesn't work, you have to go through the link I provided.

are these reports reliable? i checked both of my cars, both came up with the 5000 dollars guarantee for clean history, now one of them has been in multiple accidents, i dont know why it isnt showing up on the records.

oh well why am i complaining, thats good for me.

Imdmn04, probably b/c you didn't report the accidents. If not, then there's always a chance somebody messed up your paperwork in the process.

Thanks saved me $20 and two clean vehicles although my stang was leased cause i bought it from my next door neighbor off his five year lease in 93 yet is showed up as not having a lease registration. Anyone know what that means?? Awesome info here!!

unaccurate

friend's car got into 2 accidents, ran carfax, said no accidents

better than nothing i suppose...

To quote Ralph Wiggam:

Xterra, thanks for the link.

FYI, my 1995 Chrysler Cirrus was in a MAJOR accident 5 years ago- damage was $9000+ and the repair work was done at the DEALERSHIP. Carfax shows NOTHING.

Caveat Emptor...

That's because they never properly reported the claim to the insurance company (ie they may of said it was criminal mischief), it happens all the time with dealers. By law they are supposed to disclose that to you before the sale.
