I can't remember if it's the truth or just a myth, can anyone clarify?

For example, i want to send a package priority, will they provide the medium sized boxes (7x7x7) for free?

true, just ask for them over the counter. USPS priority only though.

Order a ton of them online for free too! but your mailman will hate you.

You can get boxes for Priority Mail only. And you can't use them for UPS, or Parcel Post, or anything but mailing via Priority Mail.

They're one step ahead of you, they usually have "property of the USPS" printed on the back. And it's illegal to use them for purposes other than shipping USPS priority.

They make you sign an agreement saying that you won't use them for anything other than USPS priority stuff.

If you were to be moving, packing small priority boxes with small breakable items and then putting those inside larger boxes would work REAL well.

of course, that would be wrong, so this is all hypothetical

I used those boxes to move from my dorm to my apartment. Real nice. Of course, I used them for priority afterwards ;)

I really did. :)

There's nothing to say that you won't use them for shipping USPS in a few weeks. You just store them with stuff in 'em.

I used some priority mail boxes I had to transfer some things in a move. Then shipped other things out with the same boxes a few months later.

Ha, I guess we know why stamp prices keep increasing - ATOTers keep moving cross country! :)

I never signed an agreement stating that fact. I've been inverting those boxes for months now without a problem....

FYI, inverting a Priority Mail box can result in the item being returned with postage due. Won't happen every time, but it can happen. They 'll attach a photocopy of the USPS regulation that specifically prohibits inverting the box, and using for any purpose other than Priority Mail.
