I don't know if any of you like the blues but Alligator records has been putting out fine blues albums from artists new and old for years now.
I personally have all their two disc compilations that they release every 5 years and they are terriffic.

Here is an email they sent me and they told me to share it with my friends.

Looks to be a 130MB download that's a Rar file.

They always have a half dozen free downloads from new albums.

Plus they have a jukebox, where they have loaded around 200+ songs IIRC that you can stream and listen to.

Anyways, here's the email below with the link on the bottom. Looks to be a facebook link but it works for non-FB users.

Alligator Records, in collaboration with NPR and public radio stations, has just released a FREE, downloadable 17-song sampler to celebrate Public Radio Music Month. ALLIGATOR RECORDS PRESENTS BLUES & ROOTS features Alligator's current artist roster plus a few classics selected from Alligator's storied 42-year history. The sampler was personally curated and annotated by Alligator president and founder Bruce Iglauer, and is available now at the Alligator Records Facebook page (you don't need to be a Facebook member to download nor does it require an email). It will remain available until May 11. Alligator is the only label with whom Public Radio Music Month is collaborating on a sampler.

Public Radio Music Month, held during April, is a tribute to the impact of public radio in music. The Public Radio Music Month website states, "The national initiative brings together local public radio stations, artists and music to recognize the work and importance of these cultural institutions."

The 17-song FREE sampler features some of our best loved contemporary and classic artists including two brand new tracks. Download now to hear 99 Shades Of Crazy from the new JJ Grey & Mofro album THIS RIVER (release date: Tuesday, April 16th) as well as the title track from the upcoming James Cotton CD, COTTON MOUTH MAN (release date: Tuesday, May 7th) featuring a guest appearance by guitarist Joe Bonamassa. edit:
I heard from a member, (and possibly others), that he couldn't see the FB page so I'll include a link to an NPR jazz station, KCSM, that has the Alligator link on their page.

First link is a direct download and the second link on their page brings you back to their FB page via a tinyurl.
