i've only been in there (BJ's Wholesale) once, and i wasn't impressed. i predict they'll go under in the next couple of years. no surprise (to me) they're offering a free membership for 60 days, but definitely go for the freebie membership if u're curious about the store.

Costco > Sam's Club > BJ's Wholesale

I like BJ's more than Sam's here, and we don't have Costco. Our BJ's was here way before Sam's was though, so it's probably their market presence that determines how good the stores are in a given area. We have had a couple of Sam's clubs close down in the past few years, but BJ's is still popular.

I got in on a free membership that ended in Feb. The only 2 things I found consistently there that was worth it for me were Tyson Honey Ginger chicken wings and some beer battered fish fillets.
The price wasn't that great, but I haven't seen them in any other store around me.
There were also a couple of odds and ends that I thought were at a decent price, but for the most part I could get stuff cheaper at the local grocery store.

I might try and re-up, if they will let me, for more chicken wings though.
