I have done this before and it works good for me and I thought I would share my idea with all you tightwads out there. I have a number of free top of the line chargers already. Here is how I do it. At - battery space .com they have unbelievable prices on batteries and I have been ordering from them for about two years now with 2 to 3 day turnaround. You can buy a top of the line Smart Charger and 12pcs 2000mah rechargable batteries for $27, and also 24 pc 2000mah rechargable batteries for $25. If you order over $100 or $250 you get a free charger---top of the line. I have one charger I show my friends and take orders with no problems. With everyone buying electronics for Xmas, you should have no trouble getting orders. Free shipping on larger orders, plus you get a 5% discount on you next order.. Also, if you want camcorder batteries you can get super deals at sterlingtek.com. I just posted a post for CAMCORDER BATTERIES. I am going to try and post the web site link below, but I am still having trouble getting it to work. Also, another idea for you tightwads, I use my special master card from Fidelity Investments and they match 2 cents on every dollar with no limits and I put that money into my granddaughters 529 education fund, and it is tax free when they use it for higher education. Check it out. I don't think my link worked. Sorry, I am having trouble. Help!

bit of a misleading topic title, don't you think? also, not all that spectacular pricing either... you can get the same 2000mAh capacity batteries, and also the new 2200mAh batteries from thomas-distributing for the same prices. and a little icing on the cake: thomas-distributing has a higher rating on resellerratings.com, and is super-ultimate-platinum-double-uranium certified by RR and other review sites such as stevesdigicams and the imaging resource. i've personally ordered from them twice now. excellent experience, top quality merchandise, awesome pricing, and yes, they too give the 5% off your next order offer...

BUT, just so i'm not completely shooting down your post... "nice post :D"

Please point out how you can get the same capacity at the same price. Batteryspace 24pack of 2000 is 25 bucks. Since thomas sells stuff atleast most of it in 4 packs,24 batteries = six 4 packs. Lets take a look at price of those that are relatively close to capacity.

Brand Capacity

Nexcell 2100 -> six 4 packs @ 11.97 each = 71.82
Lenmar 2000 - > six 4 packs @ 6.97 each = 41.82
Quest 2100 - > six 4 packs @ 12.97 each = 77.82
GP 1900 -> six 4 packs @ 8.97 each = 53.82
kodak 2100 -> six 4 packs @ 12.97 each = 77.82
iPowerUSA 2100 -> six 4 packs @ 9.97 each = 59.82
Accupower 2100 - twelve 2 packs @ 5.57 each = 66.84
Powerex 2000 -> six 4 packs @ 11.97 each = 71.82
Powerex 2200 -> six 4 packs @ 14.97 each = 89.82

Unless you're doing some new form of math and have a very big stretch for "same prices" none of them are even close to 25 dollars for 24pack. 1-5 dollars okay I'll give you that. but the closest difference is 16 dollars.

Batteryspace? I knew that rang a bell. STAY AWAY!!!

I bought some batteries from them on ebay. They use the userid of all-batteries.

http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=all-batteries

I'd swear they had more negative feedback than that 6 months ago. Also, when you went to their "customer support" (which is a forum that you have to sign up to and post on in order to complain), it was nothing but page after page of complaints. Notice how there are only three threads in there right now? It looks like they delete old threads actively now. Based on the feedback, they may have improved their service, but I wouldn't risk it.

I had some really horrible customer service problems with them that I won't get into. Bottom line is get them from elsewhere.

Oh and I shouldn't have to mention this on a tech forum, but batteries are not all created equal. You buy a good name brand in order to get quality and performance. The Maha/powerex batteries referenced in the second post are very good.

I am not trying to be misleading. Yey, if I get a free $49 charger for helping people with a super deal, that is not misleading. I checked thomas industries link and I can not find where I can get 24 batteries for $25. I checked ebay link and I cannot find 3 pages of complaints--- what were the complaints about?. There is another post for Battery Space posted I think on Dec. 3, and there are over 100 hits on it . Check it out.

I bought 24AA batteries from batteryspace and had no problem yet. Those batteries are real good (atleast for me). I recommended the site to my friends and they had no problem either

in all honesty, INITIALLY they had problems. Sadly that was the time I dealt with them. BUT their customer service was more then acceptable covered returning shipping charges and refunded my money.

plus the took my advice to heart which I thought was awesome. They were using low quality battery connectors for their packs and because of that were not conducting amperage to their capability.

Since then they have cleaned up their act a lot and seem to have TONS of happy customers.

Misleading!!!

I have noticed all your posts were related to batteryspace.com.
As a new member, what did you expect others say?

No such thing as FREE charger, ok?

And save some time and money, Newegg has a really nice Ipower charger

for $20 shipped, better than V1000 from batteryspace.

I have no idea whether rwbelke has any ties to batteryspace.com ... that's the Mods job to determine and take action if necessary.

However I can vouch for two rechargeable battery vendors who offer quality products, maybe not the best prices but they are good companies to deal with.

Thomas-Distributing.com and SunnBattery.com (eBay userid ptron1).

Before you buy anything do yourself a favor and read The Great Battery Shootout.

I have 4 Nexcell 1600mAh batteries bought from Sunnbattery last year.
After a full charge, I took some pictures using them in my Nikon. 3 months
later, I needed to take pictures. Suprisingly, these Nexcells still had almost full charge. So I know why Nexcell batteries are more expensive.

Another bump for thompson. They are a terrific company to work with.

Get the MH-C204F rapid charger. Thompson has charger & battery bundles--only way to go.

SunnBattery no, BatteryFuel is better and cheaper on most batteries.

I do not have any connections with Batteryspace , etc. I am a teacher by profession and one of the courses I teach is "TIGHTWADING" (ADULT CLASS, AND IT IS ALWAYS FULL) and it is very sucessful and people learn a lot about money. It seems people spend a lifetime working and earning money, but they do not know much about money and that is why 95% of the people end up DEAD BROKE at retirement. It is a fact, people spend 120% of their income and live pay- check to pay- check. After I read all the comments on this site I realize that some of you could probably use some help. The old saying goes '"TWO MEN LOOKED THROUGH BARS, ONE SAW MUD AND THE OTHER SAW STARS". and I see a lot of you see mud. Well, I started this thread trying to show readers how rich people make money (yes, mostly rich people or true tightwads tend these classes, that is why they are rich), and maybe past future ideas on to you, but I guess sometimes I feel I am wasting my valuable time. This is kinda interesting, families spend maybe $1000 or more on prea
sents each year and I get $1000 of items FREE OR ALMOST FREE--- my favorite words.

Oh, I forgot to tell you, I ordered 10 more battery packs for my friends today and got another free super smart battery charger. I do not need an extra battery charger and I will be giving it away--- ANYONE INTERESTED=====FREEEEEEEE! I have always wondered why some people are rich and successful and others are poor, they must be doing somethings different. Think about it---are you living pay check to pay check. Anyone interested in starting a new thread called TIGHTWADING, I might be interested in teachin y it, free, as I like teaching and helping people. Thanks,

Thanks for the link to Thomas-Distributing. I've been looking for a new charger / batteries since the once for my digital camera crapped out on me. And I've found this thread quite amusing =)

the reason we don't like batteryspace is that they have cheap batteries. the ones at thomas are top-of-the-line, like maha
