I want to see how much data I use a month, any free programs out there?

The router is a good place to collect that data since it's connected to all computers in your house. What router are you using? See if its compatible with Tomato or DD-WRT firmware.

if you use comcast log into your account and go to user settings tells you current usage and monthly
