Just got the flyer for this week's sale items at CC. At least on freebie:

Micro Innovations Optical Notebook Mouse (item #PD800P) $19.99 - $10 Mfr. MIR - $9.99 CC MIR = FREE!

I'm not sure what they mean by "Notebook."

[EDIT]

Just tried to order online for "In Store Pick-up" but it wouldn't allow it. Looks like you got to go the the store and get it without an advanced order.

The notebook mice that I have seen are smaller than regular mice. I don't know of any other differences. Free is always good. Thanks!

You might want to get your session ID out of that link. I can bring up account info such as address and phone number.

I keep getting the "Circuit City is Closed for Maintenance" page. Anyone know when they "open?"

CC is open now, but, for me, it says the mouse is available for direct ship only. It does show as in stock at my local store but I can't order for pickup later. :(

I was at CC late today and looking around, a clerk came out with a box of a dozen of these mice. The shelf was empty before she put these out, I couldn.t resist and grabbed one.
These are the small, but seem to work good.

Mine installed as a "Cypress USB Mouse" in Windows XP Pro. Anyone ever heard of Cypress?

BTW, it is working very well.

No disk in mine either...but you don't really need one. Windows recognizes it and installs the drivers.

As I asked above, has anyone ever heard of Cypress? Mine installed as a "Cypress USB Mouse" in Windows XP Pro.

Most likely parts from Cypress Semiconductor. Search for CY4622 in All at www.cypress.com and you will see a description of a reference design kit for an optical mouse.
